Terms of Service

Bokat provides tools for tattoo artists to publish a booking page, collect custom and flash booking requests, exchange messages with clients, and manage proposals and appointments. Features may change as we develop the product; some capabilities (such as payment collection) may be labelled as planned or beta.

Artists must register and maintain an accurate account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping login credentials secure.

Clients generally book without creating a permanent account; we may create a limited client profile linked to your email to let you view requests and messages.

You must be at least 18 years old to use booking flows. Artists represent that they are legally permitted to offer tattoo services in their jurisdiction.

If you are an artist using Bokat, you agree to:

• Provide accurate profile, pricing, and availability information to the extent you choose to display it.
• Respond to requests in a professional manner and comply with applicable health, safety, and licensing requirements for tattoo work.
• Handle client personal data you receive through Bokat in compliance with privacy law and only for legitimate booking purposes.
• Set clear deposit and cancellation expectations; platform defaults or copy do not replace your own policies where you customise them.

When submitting a booking request, you agree to provide truthful information, including health disclosures where requested. You understand that acceptance of a request or proposal does not guarantee an appointment until any deposit or confirmation steps defined by the artist are completed.

Bokat facilitates communication and workflow between artists and clients. Unless explicitly stated, Bokat is not a party to the tattoo service contract between artist and client.

Deposits and payments may be processed through third-party providers (for example Stripe). Fees, refunds, and chargebacks are governed by the artist’s policies and the payment provider’s terms. Platform fees, if any, will be disclosed before you pay.

You must not:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent purposes.
• Upload malware, scrape the Service without permission, or attempt to bypass security or rate limits.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with an artist or studio.
• Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

You retain ownership of content you upload (for example flash images, reference photos, and messages). You grant Bokat a limited licence to host, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the Service.

Bokat’s name, logo, software, and design are our intellectual property. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

The Service integrates with third-party tools (hosting, email, payments, and analytics). Your use of those features may be subject to additional third-party terms.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Bokat does not provide medical or legal advice; health questions in booking forms are for the artist’s intake only.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bokat and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid to Bokat for the Service in that period, or (b) one hundred euros (EUR 100), except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory consumer or Swedish law.

You agree to indemnify and hold Bokat harmless from claims arising out of your content, your tattoo services, or your breach of these Terms, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Swedish courts, except where mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence give you different rights.

We may modify these Terms. We will post updates on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
